You want a Roblox town to hang out in, but two names keep coming up. Brookhaven vs Bloxburg looks like a close call on the surface, since both let you live in a house, drive around and roleplay with friends. So the real question is whether you want a busy city to mess around in or a quieter town where you build and work for your goals.

Gameplay: Brookhaven Is a Hangout, Bloxburg Is a Life Sim

Both games sit in the same Roblox genre, roleplay and avatar sim, and both are listed as Town and City games. The difference is what they ask you to do once you spawn in.

Brookhaven RP is built around free roleplay. You own and live in houses, drive vehicles and explore the city, then make up your own stories with whoever is on the server. Welcome to Bloxburg gives you more to work toward. You build and decorate, choose a job and earn money, and level up skills such as cooking to unlock new content.

Building and Houses: Bloxburg Goes Deeper

Building is where Bloxburg stands apart. You can build and decorate, or buy, the house of your dreams, and building is a core part of the game rather than a side feature.

Brookhaven lets you own and live in houses too, and it supports props, with private server perks such as prop saving, removing or locking props, and a higher prop limit. It is more about using a home as a roleplay stage than designing one from scratch. If designing rooms is your favorite part of Roblox, Bloxburg is the stronger fit.

Jobs and Progress: Bloxburg Gives You Goals

Bloxburg lets you choose a job, earn money and rewards as you work, and level up skills to unlock more content. That loop gives each session a point, and it is the main reason players who like life sims stick with it.

Brookhaven does not pitch jobs and skills as its core. Its recent updates focus on roleplay scenes instead, such as the latest Hospital Refresh with eight new hospital tools and updated ambulance and rescue helicopters. That suits players who care more about acting out stories than climbing a progress bar.

Vehicles and Exploring: Both Let You Drive

Both games include vehicles you can drive around town. Bloxburg offers a selection of vehicles, and Brookhaven lists driving cool vehicles and exploring the city as one of its main draws, and private server owners can spawn up to three vehicles at once.

Servers and Popularity: Brookhaven Is Far Bigger

This is the widest gap between them. A Brookhaven server holds up to 30 players against 12 in Bloxburg, so the city feels more crowded and finding people to roleplay with is easy. Here is how they compared on their official Roblox pages on October 12, 2026:

Brookhaven wins on raw numbers by a wide margin, but Bloxburg has the higher like ratio, which points to a smaller crowd that is more satisfied with what it plays. Bloxburg is also the older game by several years, and it has kept updating, with its last update landing the same week as Brookhaven’s.

If you came for combat instead of roleplay, our Blox Fruits vs King Legacy comparison covers two of Roblox’s biggest fighting games.

And the Winner Is…

WinnerBrookhaven RP

Bloxburg does several things better. Its building tools, jobs and skill leveling give you real goals, and it has the higher like ratio. Even so, Brookhaven RP is the one we would point most players to. Its servers hold 30 players, it has far more people online at any hour, and it asks nothing of you before the roleplay starts, which makes it easy to hop in with friends. In the Brookhaven vs Bloxburg debate, pick Bloxburg if you love designing houses, working jobs and building a routine. Everyone who mainly wants a lively city to hang out in should start with Brookhaven.

Bio

I'm Sean, and I write the comparisons on GameCuki. I cover anything gamers weigh up before buying: consoles and handhelds, PC components and gaming laptops, monitors, controllers, headsets and accessories, plus subscriptions and services like Game Pass and PlayStation Plus. I put both options on the same checklist, using official specs, professional reviews and owner feedback, and I only mention what owners say when at least two of them report the same thing. Every comparison ends with one clear verdict and the type of player each option suits. I don't accept free products or payment from brands, and what I write comes from research, not my own use of the products. You can read my full process on our How We Review page.
