How We Review

Here’s how we choose and present the games on GameCuki, how we rate them, and how we research and write our reviews, lists and guides.

How We Choose Games

  • Trusted sources: our games come from established HTML5 game distribution platforms, such as Playgama, that work directly with game developers.
  • Browser check: before a game is added, we check that it loads and plays properly in the browser.
  • Device support: we note which platforms each game supports (PC, Android, iPhone and iPad). If a game doesn’t support the device you’re using, you’ll see a warning above the game.
  • Organized for you: every game is placed in one or more categories and tagged with its features (for example Racing, Zombie or 2 Player), so you can find similar games quickly.

Game Guides and Descriptions

Each game page includes a guide with an introduction, how to play, the controls, key features and answers to common questions. We base these guides on the official information from the game’s developer and distribution platform, and we write them in our own words to keep them clear and easy to follow.

Ratings and the HOT Badge

  • Player ratings: the score on each game page (for example 9.2/10) comes from player votes on the game’s distribution platform. We convert the original 5-star score to a 10-point scale and show the number of votes next to it.
  • HOT badge: games rated 9.0/10 or higher with more than 1,000 votes get a HOT badge, so the most loved games are easy to spot.

Top Game Lists

Our top lists rank games by quality and popularity within a genre, platform or year. We look at gameplay, content and value, check what players and trusted publications say about each game, and update the lists when new games arrive.

Gear Reviews and Comparisons

  • Research first: for each console, controller, headset or accessory, we study the specs and features, professional reviews and verified owner feedback.
  • Honest pros and cons: every review clearly lists what we like, what to watch out for and who the product is (and isn’t) for.
  • Fair comparisons: when we compare products, such as PlayStation vs Nintendo Switch, we put them side by side on the same criteria and explain which one fits which kind of player.

Best Gaming Gear

For gaming gear, from consoles like PlayStation and Nintendo Switch to controllers, headsets and accessories, we build a shortlist of the products people are actually considering, compare their specs and features, and read professional reviews and verified owner feedback to catch long-term issues like comfort, build quality and reliability. Then we pick the best options for different needs and budgets.

Keeping Content Up to Date

Games get updates, policies change and new gear launches all the time. We revisit our pages regularly and update them when information changes, a better option appears or a game is no longer available.

Our Independence

Some pages may contain affiliate links, and the site may show advertising. This never affects our ratings, rankings or recommendations: brands and developers cannot pay to be included or to rank higher.
