Both let you eat Devil Fruit-style powers and sail between islands, so picking between them isn’t obvious. For One Piece fans on Roblox, Blox Fruits vs King Legacy really comes down to one trade-off: the bigger, busier game, or the one that lets you level up faster? Fruits, grinding, PvP, events and player numbers all lean one way or the other.

Which Came First: Blox Fruits, by About 11 Months

Both games are free-to-play action RPGs on Roblox inspired by the One Piece anime and manga. You sail between islands, fight NPCs and bosses, and hunt for fruits that give you special powers. Each server holds up to 12 players.

Blox Fruits came first. Its Roblox page went up in January 2019, and it’s made by Gamer Robot Inc. King Legacy followed in December 2019 from Sea King Games. Because they share the same inspiration and core loop, King Legacy is often called a Blox Fruits copy, but the two have grown apart over the years, especially in how leveling and quests work.

Fruits: King Legacy Lists More, Blox Fruits Lists the Bigger Names

Fruits are the heart of both games. Eating one gives you a set of powers, from elemental attacks to full beast transformations. Blox Fruits currently lists 42 fruits, including Dragon, Kitsune, Control, Dough and the newly added Magnet. King Legacy lists 44 fruits, with its own picks like Gate, Paw, Rumble, Leopard and Telekinesis alongside shared favorites such as Dough, Dragon and Phoenix.

How you get fruits is a little different. In Blox Fruits, fruits spawn on the map every hour and disappear after 20 minutes, and the Blox Fruits Dealer restocks random fruits every four hours. In King Legacy, fruits spawn every one to two hours and vanish after 15 minutes, and it also has a fruit-rolling system that’s one of its best features. King Legacy also gives first-time players a 0.1% chance at a free Conqueror ability.

Leveling and Grinding: King Legacy Is Faster

This is where King Legacy wins its biggest fans. Leveling is much quicker, and its repeatable quests mean you don’t have to walk back to the quest giver after every batch of NPCs. A new fruit’s moves also unlock with skill points instead of a long mastery grind, so you can use a fruit’s full kit sooner.

Blox Fruits asks for more patience. Its level cap is 3,000, while King Legacy’s is 5,450, but Blox Fruits uses mastery for fruits, swords and fighting styles, and only the one you’re using earns progress. That makes the climb slower, though it also gives you a clear next goal at almost every level.

Quests and Getting Started: Blox Fruits Is Easier for Beginners

For new players, Blox Fruits is the smoother start. Its quests are straightforward, and it’s easy to get into with a clear goal at every step. King Legacy can be confusing at first. It’s easy to miss where the first quest giver is, and you assign stat points by typing in how many you want to add, which isn’t obvious. A compass under your health bar points to the next quest giver once you find it.

PvP: Blox Fruits Has the Edge, but Neither Is Perfect

Blox Fruits has the better PvP of the two. That said, fights now often come down to spamming the strongest fruits instead of landing skilled combos, and King Legacy’s PvP is even less balanced. If PvP is the main reason you play, Blox Fruits is the better bet, but don’t expect perfectly fair fights in either game.

Bosses, Raids and Events: King Legacy’s Sea Events Stand Out

King Legacy leans hard into bosses, dungeons and events. Highlights include boss fights where you know which boss is coming before it spawns, and to sea events every hour where everyone on the server teams up to take down a sea monster. The catch is luck: drop rates can fall below 1% without buffs, so farming specific items takes a while.

Blox Fruits has plenty of bosses too, plus raids that can reward fruits, and it spreads its content across three seas that open up as you level. King Legacy’s islands can look dated next to it, though the developers have been reworking them.

Popularity and Updates: Blox Fruits Is in a Different League

Blox Fruits is one of the biggest games on Roblox, and the gap is huge. Here’s how they compared on their official Roblox pages when we checked on October 11, 2026:

That size matters. More players means busier servers, more people to trade with and more help with bosses, and Blox Fruits gets frequent updates, with the Magnet fruit and a Sea 1 update among its latest additions.

And the Winner Is…

WinnerBlox Fruits

King Legacy deserves more credit than the “Blox Fruits copy” label it gets. It levels you up faster, its repeatable quests cut out a lot of walking, and its hourly sea events are some of the most fun co-op moments in either game. Still, Blox Fruits is the one we’d point most players to. It’s easier to learn, its servers are busy, and it keeps getting new fruits and updates, which King Legacy can’t match with a fraction of the players. In the Blox Fruits vs King Legacy debate, try King Legacy if you’re burned out on the Blox Fruits grind and want a faster climb. Everyone else, especially new players, should start with Blox Fruits.

I cover anything gamers weigh up before buying: consoles and handhelds, PC components and gaming laptops, monitors, controllers, headsets and accessories, plus subscriptions and services like Game Pass and PlayStation Plus. I put both options on the same checklist, using official specs, professional reviews and owner feedback, and I only mention what owners say when at least two of them report the same thing.
